Want to view some local art on steroids? Boston Cyberarts and the MCCA have teamed up to create “Art on the Marquee,” an ongoing project to commission public media art for display on the 80-foot-tall multi-screen LED marquee outside the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center in South Boston. The largest urban screen in New England, this unique digital canvas is one of the first of its kind in the U.S. to integrate art alongside commercial and informational content as part of the MCCA’s longstanding neighborhood art program.
They are hosting a free reception inside the Boston Convention Center with appetizers and cash bar today, October 14th 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM to kick off this series. They ask that you register to attend but also will allow last minute guests to just show up.
